One of the best things of being a publisher is that you know tones of amazing artists,… and another best thing of being a publisher is that sometimes you receive beautiful packages! Two days ago we received a lovely package from Ediciones Hungría. We met this awesome people a long time ago thanks to their blog ‘Colour me in‘ in which they featured Emma Llensa (Carpaccio Magazine & Atem Books co-founder). So, after months and months, we’re so happy that they remember us!

This is, so far, one of the best packages we’ve received since we’re on this project. Self-produced illustration/drawing books. And we can see a lot of love inside these books. They believe in what they do!

Ediciones Hungría is a multidisciplinary studio based in Mexico D.F. Responds to a need to develop and disseminate local and international art and culture in a rigorous curatorial work focused on generating ideas and finding transcendental images.

They have sent us 3 beautiful books:

- Día de asueto

- Libreta azul

- Antes de dormir

and

- Móviles

If you want to get one of their publications, you can contact witht hem through their website… if you are worried about spanish, they include english translations in all their publications!!

We strongly recommend this festival of emerging photography because it seems really really interesting!!

There will be workshops, exhibitions, publishing houses and a lot of amazing events. You can check the events here: http://www.pa-ta-ta.com/calendario/2011-05/

You’ll find exhibitions of 2 Carpaccio Magazine collaborators: Carla Fernández Andrade & Iván Sanjuan and also other friends such as Fanzine 10×15 and EFE24. Carlos Albalá & Ignasi López are also organizing a workshop called “Transigrafías”.

We wish we could be there but, as we have said, it has been impossible for us to make this possible!

Well, hope you can go and enjoy these photographic days!
